Copy the license file to the Program folder under your Solid Edge install folder, e.g.
If the file you have received is not named "SELicense.dat", rename the file to this and save it.
You may delete the license file from step 2 if you wish.
Once you click "OK" the license file will be copied to the correct location and the utility will automatically exit.
Click the "Browse" button located below the blank text box and browse to the license file you saved in step 1.
Under the "Select your license option:" choose "I have a license file".
Click the windows start button and navigate to the license utility located here: START - All - Programs - Solid Edge ST8 - Licensing - License Utility.
Method 2: Using the Solid Edge License Utility.
Once the installation has completed the license file has automatically been copied to the right location and you may delete the file you saved(try starting SE before you do to make sure it works).
On the first visible Install Wizard page you will be able to browse to the license file you just saved.
Start installing Solid Edge from your installation disc or from your downloaded software.
If you have not received the license file, contact Method 1: Installing the license during program installation (NOTE: only for first time or re-installation of Solid Edge) Save the license file you have received somewhere you like, it can be removed or moved later if you wish.
